Our Classroom:
Please note that we have a small kitchen area (sink, refrigerator, and microwave) in the classroom. Feel free to use them to stow your lunch or snacks if you want to bring something from home.
Class Policies
You must pay for the class when you register. Phone reservations are accepted with a credit card. Supply lists are available online or at the shop.
If we cancel a class you will receive a full refund of the class fee.
If you are unable to attend a class and give us 7 days notice, we will give you an in-store credit for your class fee.
We are unable to give any refund or store credit for classes with out-of-state visiting teachers if you should be unable to attend. We encourage you to pass your registration on to a friend!
One week prior to the start of the class, the class is committed to go. After that time there is no refund or in-store credit for missing a class.
Out of consideration for the instructor and other students, children, spouses or visitors are not allowed at classes unless enrolled as a student.

Bernina Mastery Classes
When you purchase your sewing machine from Shiisa Quilts, you are entitled to one series of New Owner Mastery Classes. These classes should be completed within six months of purchasing your machine. All levels of machines are welcome at all the classes, although not all techniques taught will be applicable to all machines. Each Mastery Class is $40 or FREE when your Bernina is purchased through Shiisa Quilts. Supply kits are available for each class. Participants should bring their sewing machine with all accessories and manuals. (If you have an embroidery machine, do NOT bring your embroidery module to these classes!)
In addition to your machine, please bring a large three-ring binder (we recommend 3") and a box of page protectors.
Please print the Bernina Sewing Machine Mastery Workbook prior to your first class! This is a long document and if you are printing on an ink-jet printer, we recommend that you print it in black and white! If you would rather we print it for you, we will provide a color copy for $50 (Please order this in advance!)

OESD Virtual Training
Join us for classes taught by the educators at OESD!! We’ll connect online and learn lots of new tips and techniques for embroidery!! These are great classes for experienced embroiderers OR for those of you who are considering the purchase of an embroidery machine and/or software.
Cost is $5 per class. Please reserve space so we know there will be room! These classes are lecture only, so no supplies are required!
Virtual Bernina Club
Shiisa Quilts is very excited to announce a new program offered to us by Bernina of America. Each month a Bernina Educator will host a virtual class right here in our shop! Because this class is a virtual presentation, all you need to bring is yourself. And you don't have to know anything about a computer; you just watch the presentation and soak up the inspiration!
Each month we will "log on" with other Bernina shops across the United States and view a class presented by a Bernina Educator. The classes will explore everything from piecing and quilting, embroidery, embellishing, serging, and lots more! Along with the virtual presentation, you will receive a handout of the presentation and a CD that will include instructions for the featured project.
The virtual presentations will be a lecture/demonstration. Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to try the techniques presented in the virtual demonstration on machines set up in the classroom. We will provide the supplies for the samples.
The fee for each club session is $10 which includes the CD and supplies for the samples.
